  1. Dear Zahir,

hope you are doing great. I have an urgent query regarding move Exchange 2007 Single copy cluster (SCC) on SAN and move it to on cluser continuous replication (CCR). I would like you to kindly provide guidance, how to move SCC to CCR as one node on SAN and second node on local server hard disk.

if you required further clarification, please feel free to contact.

  2. Hi Lcky,

As you know that these two are entirely different models, where SCC using shared storage, and CCR uses saparate storage on both cluster nodes, but tell me are you planning to go for CCR on new machine, or you are looking for a work around, where you want to perform an inplace upgrade / changes to convert your SCC to CCR?

If you are planning to go for CCR with new machines, so I would say that why dont you go for Exchange 2010, since it is also using the Cluster Continous Replication method for log shipping.

If you are looking a method, where you want to do with existing machine to be converted from SCC to CCR, so I would say that there will be a down time, and it will not be an easy task, and you have any two nodes then it might be dangerous for your cluster.
