Performing Exchange messaging environment switch-over and switch-back before and after of service interruption can be a hard job for you. The majority of the administrator finds this task as difficult because there are no GUI based tools available part of the Exchange messaging infrastructure. Good News! :) For help Exchange administrators to perform these planned and unplanned Exchange messaging environment switch-over and switch-back between data centers, Microsoft Exchange Team introduced Exchange 2010 Datacenter Switchover Tool. This tool is publicly available and can be downloaded from here.

Exchange Server 2010 is a PowerPoint based file which provides guidelines for performing Exchange datacenter switch-over and switch-back for Exchange 2010 Database Availability Group member mailbox servers.  All these guidelines are in line with real-world recommendations and best practices for Exchange Server datacenter switchover scenario.
