Hyper-V Clustered and Standalone Host and Guest Hotfixes for Performance and Availability Issues
Over a period of time, after the first release of Hyper-V Windows Server 2008, there are series of bugs got fixed related to host and guest. These issues were mainly found for the management, availability and performance tuning. From a practical standpoint, I have seen people who creating bunch of virtual machines on Hyper-V servers, and don’t pay attention on proper designing and performance tuning of Hyper-V Server. This is one aspect of the problem, and on the other side, Hyper-V as being a second version till the release of Windows Server 2008 R2. There were quite of few bugs and issues existed in the product, which needs to be fixed to fine-tune the Hyper-V infrastructure for smoother operations.
Below are the links for important hotfixes for various Hyper-V releases, which should be installed on both Hyper-V host and guest virtual machines.
We would be able to see tremendous affects after installing these hotfixes on your Hyper-V virtual machine manageability, performance and availability.
