How to hide bulk number of Disabled Users Mailboxes from Exchange Address List

Blog Reader Questions Section

From now, I will be posting reader question answer, in the form of the blog post, which will help not only the people asking the questions, but also would help the search engine users to get their answers easily.

Question?
How we can hide the bulk number of disabled users mailboxes from Exchange Address List, via Exchange Management Shell CMD-Let, where these disabled Active Directory user accounts are located in a specific Active Directory OU.

Solution:

From an Exchange Management Shell run the below CMD-Let, which will find all the users, from a specific OU path in AD, and will set these mailboxes to be hidden from the Exchange Address List.

Get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited -OrganizationalUnit “domain.com/Users/ Disabled Users” | set-mailbox -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $True

Please do comment, if you have a question or want to know more about your problem.

Cheers
