Million $$ Post – Outlook 2007 patch for Exchange 2010 Online Archive Access

I know it’s been long time for all of us to wait for this most wanted feature to be available for our disposal, with the release of Office 2007 CU for Dec, 2010, now Outlook 2007 users can access their Exchange 2010 Online Archive mailbox.

I would also like to share something about scope of this feature added to Outlook 2007, see the below lines copied from Exchange 2010 Team Blog:

With the CU, customers will be able to:

· Access email messages in their online archive using Outlook 2007.

· Move messages into the online archive using Outlook 2007.

· Delegates can see their manager’s online archive.

There are some limitations on Outlook’s support of the archive including:

· Working with Archive policies

· Independent searches of the archive and the primary mailbox

This will light up the Archive for the following SKUs:

· Office Ultimate (retail)

· Office ProPlus (volume license)

· Office Enterprise (volume license)

· Outlook Standalone (retail)

· Outlook Standalone (volume license)
